About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Utility Porter to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of hotel public areas and back-of-house spaces. The Utility Porter will ensure a high standard of hygiene and guest satisfaction by performing various cleaning tasks, managing waste, and assisting the housekeeping team with supplies and linen delivery. This position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial, janitorial, or hotel experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including hallways, guest room carpet, elevators, stairwells, and back-of-house areas.
• Collect and remove trash and recyclables from hotel hallways, guest rooms, and service closets.
• Replenish supplies in housekeeping closets.
• Assist housekeeping by delivering linen, amenities, or supplies to guest floors.
• Operate floor care equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the manager or supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping leadership team.
