About The Position

Metro Engineering Solutions LLC (MES) is seeking a Utility Pole Restoration Laborer to join their team. MES is a leading utility and telecommunications engineering firm serving clients throughout the Midwest. This role performs inspection, maintenance, and restoration activities on utility poles and related structures. The Utility Pole Restoration Laborer supports the Restoration Foreman and Supervisor in daily field operations and assists with project-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must possess a chauffeur’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• MES does not sponsor employment visas, such as H-1B.

Responsibilities

• Perform work according to standard work practices, procedures, and customer specifications, including but not limited to excavating soil, inspecting structures, applying preservatives and/or coatings, installing steel trusses, and restoring the job site to its original condition.
• Maintain good customer and public relations by maintaining a professional appearance, being courteous, and communicating in a clear, respectful manner.
• Maintain a positive company image, including the appearance of the crew, vehicles, and work areas.
• Operate vehicles to transport material, equipment, and crew to and from job site including utility vehicles (UTVs) and trailer towing as needed.
