About The Position

The Fairview Park City Schools has an opening for a Utility Person position in the district. This role is responsible for various maintenance and repair tasks across the district's facilities.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Meets all mandated health screening requirements
Embodies high ethical standards and integrity
A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines / procedures
Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
Ability to comply with environmental, health and safety laws/regulations, building codes and ADA accessibility guidelines
Ability to use blueprints / schematic diagrams
Skill / experience in maintenance / repair procedures (e.g. mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc)
Skill / experience in building systems (e.g. HVAC, fire suppression, security, communications, etc)

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary training, completion of an approved apprenticeship program and relevant work experience
Multi-school or closely related building maintenance experience
Holds or is qualified to obtain a pesticide application license and / or asbestos hazard certificate
Have a valid Ohio Driver License/CDL preferred

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair procedures (e.g. mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, etc).
Maintain building systems (e.g. HVAC, fire suppression, security, communications, etc).
Comply with environmental, health and safety laws/regulations, building codes and ADA accessibility guidelines.
Use blueprints / schematic diagrams.
Keep current with skills essential to the objectives of the position.
