About The Position

Mercedes Cab Company, Inc. is a busy, full-service transportation company seeking a dedicated Utility Person to assist in maintaining its vast fleet and operations. This is a critical, year-round position essential to daily operations. During the high season, the schedule will be Thursday-Monday, which may change during the off-season.

Requirements

Must be able to perform regular, thorough cleaning of diverse fleet vehicles (sedans, SUVs, buses, motor coaches, transit vans).
Must be able to perform interior work (vacuuming, seat cleaning) and exterior washing.
Must be able to perform regular vehicle spot checks for equipment and compliance.
Must be able to ensure all vehicles are fully fueled and fluids are checked.
Must be able to perform regular repositioning of fleet vehicles.
Must be able to work as a member of the Storm Team, including shoveling, sanding, and clearing snow from vehicles and company grounds.

Responsibilities

Perform regular, thorough cleaning of our diverse fleet, including sedans, SUVs, buses, motor coaches, and transit vans. This involves interior work (vacuuming, seat cleaning) and exterior washing.
Perform regular vehicle spot checks in the field of our NEMT vehicles for equipment and compliance as assigned.
Ensure all vehicles are fully fueled and fluids are checked (oil, washer fluid, etc.).
Perform regular repositioning of fleet vehicles as needed.
Additional hours and overtime opportunity to serve as a member of our Storm Team, including shoveling, sanding, and clearing snow from vehicles and company grounds to ensure safe operation during winter weather.
