About The Position

Performs various jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds as assigned. Facility responsibilities may include pallet sorting and restacking, identifying products that do not meet customer specifications and reworking them, and sanitation. The position supports Simmons operating systems, including quality, security, the office environment, and company policies, and requires understanding how individual actions affect these systems and communicating concerns and improvement ideas. Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain company-issued forklift certification.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to perform basic math.
Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes.
Must be able to stand and work on feet for an entire shift.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous forklift experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned jobs within the warehouse or on the grounds.
Sort and restack pallets.
Identify products that do not meet customer specifications and rework them.
Perform sanitation duties.
Participate in team development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
Coordinate work with team members to support B.E.S.T. practices.
Attend appropriate team meetings and support team cohesiveness.
Identify and raise team-cohesion concerns with the team leader and work supportively with the team to resolve them.
Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems and communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
