Utility Operator
About The Position
This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with the utility plant and distribution system serving the UNMC /Neb Med campus. The role involves starting, operating, and shutting down boilers and their auxiliaries, chillers and their auxiliaries, generators and their auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room. The position is also responsible for the operation and monitoring of the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system serving the UNMC /Neb Med campus. Additionally, the Utility Operator directs the activities and provides training to the Utility Operator I and performs preventative and routine maintenance as assigned.
