About The Position

As a Utility Operator, you will be crucial in operating and maintaining the site’s wastewater and utility systems, including steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, reverse-osmosis water systems, and process wastewater treatment operations. This role also supports the execution of site safety, environmental, quality, and reliability programs. You will be expected to work either a day or night shift.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
1 year of industrial experience, including experience with pumps and valves.
Positive attitude and safety-focused mindset.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to the chemical industry or equivalent.
Experience in utility system operations and manufacturing maintenance, preferably in the chemical industry.
Level D Physical-Chemical Wastewater License.

Responsibilities

Control and operate site utility systems, including start-up, shutdown, and recovery.
Control and operate site wastewater systems, including start-up, shutdown, and recovery.
Perform operator maintenance and troubleshooting on Utility and Wastewater equipment.
Maintain water treatment systems, including sampling, testing, and adding chemicals.
Advance the safety practices of the team and contribute to operating with zero injuries and zero environmental excursions.
Support maintenance execution by performing lockout-tagout, pre-job safety analysis, and permit issuing.
