The main responsibility of this role is to perform petroleum coke loading / unloading and maintain cleanliness in the silo area and calcined coke dock. This position plays a crucial role in operating the plant, working on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, and being available for overtime as needed contributing to achieving maximum production quantity and quality while aligning with the company's policies, goals, and objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Record keeping skills with attention to detail.
Ability to sit, use hands and/or fingers to handle or feel, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or squat, twist, crawl, and climb ladders.
Ability to stand, walk, drive (forklifts, loaders, excavators or other vehicles), and talk or hear.
Ability to climb and/or balance multiple flights of stairs several times each week.
Ability to lift, push, or pull - up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Required to wear respiratory protection.

Nice To Haves

Bulk terminal and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
Microsoft Office and SAP skills.

Responsibilities

Load green coke (according to the production plans) into the 30-ton hoppers to feed the KFP’s.
Ensure housekeeping is maintained on the green coke pad and yard at all times.
Operate mobile conveying equipment (e.g., pay loader, bobcat, excavator, railroad switch engine, forklift, cherry picker, etc.).
Perform preventive maintenance checks of equipment and report any problems or safety issues to appropriate personnel.
Perform area “clean-up” duties which shall include shoveling, sweeping, and handling of debris.
Keep equipment in safe, clean, and orderly condition at all times.
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance as needed.
Issue work permits and participate in equipment maintenance processes as directed.
Communicate with outside vendors for pickup and delivery of product, equipment, and supplies.
Participate in the continuous improvement of product and plant processes.
Perform product sampling activities (collection, processing, labeling, reporting) as directed.
