About The Position

The Range Operator is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range, ensuring all quality, process, and cost standards are met, procedures are followed, and records are maintained correctly. This role involves observing fabric processing, identifying defects, and collaborating with management and QA for decision-making. The operator will input machine settings, provide feedback on fabric quality, and complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping, including data entry into the EVS unit and printing maps. Responsibilities also include assisting with EVS and broken filament detector operations, splicing and setting up the machine for optimal quality and efficiency, performing distortion measurements, wrapping rolls according to customer specifications, cutting samples, completing splice check samples, tagging fabric for lab testing, and cleaning during finishing changes. Maintaining all records according to ISO standards is also a key part of the role.

Responsibilities

Ensure all quality, process, and cost standards are met.
Observe fabric being processed, checking for defects or finishing problems.
Alert management or QA with decision making on the roll.
Work with the QA technician and Management to ensure quality and efficiency.
Input style and finish information into the machine computer and verify settings.
Provide feedback on the quality of fabric being produced.
Complete all paperwork and record keeping for the machine.
Key data into the EVS unit and print maps (EVS & BFD) to accompany paperwork.
Assist with EVS and broken filament detector inputting information and printing maps.
Splice and set up the machine for quality and efficiency.
Perform needed distortion measurements and wrapping of rolls per customer specifications.
Cut samples, complete splice check samples, and tag the fabric for Lab testing.
Clean at finishing changes.
Maintain all records according to ISO standards.
