The Range Operator is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range, ensuring all quality, process, and cost standards are met, procedures are followed, and records are maintained correctly. This role involves observing fabric processing, identifying defects, and collaborating with management and QA for decision-making. The operator will input machine settings, provide feedback on fabric quality, and complete all necessary paperwork and record-keeping, including data entry into the EVS unit and printing maps. Responsibilities also include assisting with EVS and broken filament detector operations, splicing and setting up the machine for optimal quality and efficiency, performing distortion measurements, wrapping rolls according to customer specifications, cutting samples, completing splice check samples, tagging fabric for lab testing, and cleaning during finishing changes. Maintaining all records according to ISO standards is also a key part of the role.
