About The Position

This role develops the skills necessary to progress to a trained Utility Mechanic professional in the Wegmans Maintenance organization. You will be part of a team that is empowered to solve complex problems daily and continually learn and develop new skills. Requirements

• 5 or more years of related work experience
• Sound mechanical and electrical background, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbing
• Strong computer skills, with ability to interface with various building and control systems

Nice To Haves

• Completion of EPA Universal Certification, and RSES, RETA and/or OSHA training is preferred
• Refrigeration and/or Steam License is preferred

Responsibilities

• Acquire the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to effectively repair equipment for emergency and non-emergency needs, and perform repairs on industrial refrigeration, HVAC and control systems with proper troubleshooting and safety techniques
• Create and maintain timely records of work
• Interact and coordinate with maintenance vendors
• Work and communicate effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed safely and in a timely manner
• Understand and comply with food and human safety procedures while performing maintenance tasks
• Maintain Wegmans’ high standards of quality and incredible customer service at all times
