The Utility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all mechanical and cosmetic aspects of the facility, including kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, minor electrical, plumbing, fabrication, and construction. This role involves routine inspections of property lighting, responding to maintenance requests, and managing one's own workload to advise the supervisor of any overload. The technician will also maintain a clean work area, prepare daily work forms, assist other departments as needed, and stay knowledgeable of all relevant rules, regulations, and controls. Adherence to company, departmental, safety policies, and Cal-OSHA regulations is crucial, as is maintaining superior communication via email and pass-downs.
