About The Position
The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $23.70/hr, with a shift increase for second and third shift.
Requirements
- 3 months of operator or manufacturing experience listed in work history or skills section
- 6 months of work history in 12 months
- Must not have been terminated from previous employer for attendance or job abandonment
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Flex/grip with wrists/hands
- Walk, bend, and stand
Responsibilities
- Operating machinery, understanding specs of the product being ran, documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as needed
- Assembling, disassembling and cleaning equipment when needed and communicate issues to lead and supervisor
- Keeping a legible accurate record as required including entering data as needed into a computer-based system
- Performing any other work as assigned by supervisor
- Complying with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
- Performing all positions of rotation, if applicable
- Operating a Power Industrial Truck
- Using and reading scales and thermometers
- Performing basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator
