Experienced Full Time Utility Locator
About The Position
We are currently hiring for Experienced Locator Technicians in Clearwater, FL. This is a full-time position with a starting wage from $21/hour, with potential for more based on experience. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: Drug test, background check, and driving record
- Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
- Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
- Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
- Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of their company supervisor.
- Perform work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas.
- Read and interpret utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities.
- Use special electronic equipment to locate and protect utilities from being damaged.
- Identify utilities including gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.
