About The Position
Our Underground Utility Locate Technicians use mapping systems and specialized equipment to locate underground utilities such as electrical, gas, and communication lines to help prevent damages and ensure safe excavation. Requirements
- Previous utility locating experience required
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to walk long distances and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills required
- Positive attitude and strong safety awareness
Responsibilities
- Respond to utility locate tickets, relocates, and emergency requests
- Locate underground utilities using maps, locating equipment, and provided tools
- Mark utilities using paint and flags
- Respond to after-hours emergency callouts as needed
