About The Position

This is a field-based role where you will locate underground utilities, specifically gas, before digging projects begin. You will use maps and equipment to mark the locations of utilities to ensure the safety of crews and prevent damage. The role involves working outdoors and driving daily.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with NO restrictions
• Comfortable driving long distances daily
• Able to work outdoors in all weather
• Able to walk 4–6 miles daily and lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Willing to work overtime

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities (gas) before digging projects begin.
• Use maps and equipment to mark where utilities are.
• Keep crews safe and prevent damage.
• Drive to job sites (50–200+ miles/day).
• Mark locations with paint/flags.
• Communicate findings to crews.
• Handle emergency calls (rotating schedule, if applicable).
