We're currently hiring for Full Time Utility Locator Technicians in the Saint Paul, MN area (including Maplewood, Oakdale and Little Canada areas)! NO EXPERIENCE required! All of our field technicians are provided with: Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc. Military-grade computer device Company issued truck Company fuel card (yes, we pay your gas!) Requirements

Valid driver’s license (Must be able to present a physical Driver's License card, other documentation is not accepted)
Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
Previous underground Utility Locating experience for Gas and/or Electric

Nice To Haves

Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters

Responsibilities

Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged.
Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.
