About The Position

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Sumner, Washington area. ELM Technicians play a crucial role in their communities by ensuring the dependability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems. This role involves performing high-quality utility marking to prevent damage to these vital facilities during excavation. Technicians utilize the advanced LaunchPoint software system, which leverages the latest technology for increased efficiency.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check.
• This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, and the use of marijuana (medical or recreational) is prohibited.
• High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Working independently outdoors with your company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use your mobile work system to receive your daily tasks
