About The Position

The purpose of the Weekend Utility Lead is to provide direction and priorities to the Weekend Utility Team to assist in meeting goals and timelines for a variety of assigned tasks including but not limited to set-up, pour/finish, stripping, finished products and loading. The role involves prioritizing and planning work activities, managing resources effectively, and ensuring production/business plans for the shift are communicated to team members. This position is also active in the training and development of the team, providing feedback, and supporting the company culture. The Utility Lead will assist the team in troubleshooting issues and solving problems, support the implementation and monitoring of performance metrics, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Communication with Quality Control, Finished Products, Redimix, Production Floor, and other departments is essential for optimal efficiency and to ensure quality products are completed efficiently according to the production schedule.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in the concrete or construction industry.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with team members, customers, and partners.
• Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Safety/Steel toe boots, hard hats and safety glasses required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing and planning work activities and managing resources (Team Members, time, and materials) effectively to meet production deadlines.
• Ensuring production/business plans for the shift are communicated to the team members.

• Support the implantation and monitoring of performance metrics to assess the efficiency and productivity of operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe working environment.
• Communicate with Quality Control, Finished Products, Redimix, Production Floor and other departments as needed for optimal efficiency.
• Ensure quality products are completed efficiently according to the production schedule.
