About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Utility Laborer to join our team and support the construction of underground wet utilities, including water, storm, sewer, and sanitary systems. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience working in utility ditches, around excavation equipment, and with trench safety systems such as trench boxes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working on underground wet utility projects required
• Experience working in utility trenches and around trench box/shoring systems
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience installing or assisting with water, storm sewer, and/or sanitary sewer systems preferred
• Experience in construction or related industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of underground water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer utilities
• Work in and around excavation, utility trenches, and trench boxes while following all safety requirements
• Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices
• Other duties as assigned
