About The Position

Certified Waste Solutions provides waste solutions for commercial, industrial, and multi-family clients, enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. The Utility Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial trucks to load, unload materials, deliveries, scale house support and move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks. This role is critical in the yard operations, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of products and materials.

Requirements

Bilingual: English and Spanish speaking
Microsoft 365 or equivalent computer knowledge/experience required
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment
Valid forklift operator certification or we can train and certify forklift operator licensing
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organizational skills
Computer savvy with a variation of software application knowledge and experience.
Ability to learn different types of recycling material and streamline processes.
Utilization of cell phone, tablets, and emails is a MUST.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility.
Move goods packed on pallets or in crates to designated storage areas.
Ensure that loads are properly secured and balanced.
Keep accurate records of materials loaded and unloaded.
Assist in inventory counts and stock rotation.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift before operation.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Always adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Ensure a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to coordinate tasks.
Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
Scale house responsibilities- interaction with staff, customer service, and yard oversight.
