About The Position
Shirley Contracting Company is a leading provider of comprehensive transportation and heavy civil construction services in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Since 1974, Shirley has played a large role in the development of highway and roadway infrastructure in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC Metro area. Shirley is a subsidiary of Clark Construction Group. This role supervises their crew(s) and coordinates / assists the Project Management Team. Performs Operations to meet job cost, schedule, and production goals. Must be willing to perform all related tasks to support projects. Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers. Knowledgeable of material and equipment requirements. Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full time basis.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage individuals.
- Read plans and have a working knowledge of standards and specifications.
- Organize, plan and schedule work.
- Communicate with employees, venders, inspectors, owners’ reps.
- Perform all related tasks to support projects.
- Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
