About The Position

Blythe Development is a licensed general contractor specializing in site work, road construction, and golf course construction. We are a 100% Employee Owned company founded in 1989. Our operations include clearing, grading, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, waterline, curb and gutter, sidewalk, concrete paving, retaining walls, culverts, bridges, stone base, and asphalt paving. Blythe Brothers Asphalt Company provides asphalt services for Blythe Development Co. We employ over 900 people and self-perform 80% of site groundwork, giving us greater control than competitors. This role supervises field operations of a pipe crew and engages in the trade work performed by the crew.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
• Proven experience supervising subsurface construction
• Ability to multi-task and resolve issues

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable in pipework for sanitary sewer, drains, and watermains
• Directly supervises pipe crew, reporting to Superintendent
• Operates and supervises the operation of heavy equipment on project sites
• Reads, understands, and interprets drawings and specifications
• Provides reports on time and materials
• Ensures all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Use of heavy equipment and supervision of the use of heavy equipment
• Dewatering, bypass pumping, wet utilities, heavy equipment, line alignment, leak testing
• Knowledge of local specifications, materials, and methods
• Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes
