The Utility Construction Management Associate 2 ensures that third-party projects on, under, or above our clients’ properties adhere to approved plans and agreements. This role involves identifying and escalating potential non-compliance issues and building relationships with field personnel to maintain compliance. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
5-7 years of railroad or utility experience.
Knowledge of AREMA standards.
Understanding of general construction practices.
Proficiency in electronic communications, including e-mail and text.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to rent and operate rental cars through RailPros-approved vendors.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-risk jobs (e.g., large diameter installations, shoring near track, non-traditional projects).
Basic understanding of tablet operations.

Responsibilities

Observe utility installations across railroad property.
Perform on-site observations of trenchless construction within railroad right-of-way, supporting third-party work around live railroad tracks.
Document pre- and post-construction site conditions, verify materials and layouts, and maintain an active dialogue with on- and off-site personnel.
Ensure documentation is in accordance with approved plans.
Attend daily job briefings with railroad (flagger) and contractor teams to discuss project requirements.
Participate in monthly training calls.
Submit time and expenses accurately.
Provide daily inspection reports using a tablet, detailing work progress and adherence to the railroad utility agreement.
Escalate non-compliance issues to management/engineers for review.
Travel 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.
