About The Position

The City of Craig is hiring a Utility Clerk to support accurate utility billing and responsive customer service for our community. This entry-level, onsite, full-time role helps ensure accounts are maintained correctly and payments are processed on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math, attention to detail, and strong data-entry accuracy
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Proficiency with standard office software; ability to learn billing systems

Responsibilities

  • Receive and post payments; balance daily cash/receipts
  • Set up, update, and maintain utility accounts and related records
  • Respond to customer questions in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Prepare routine billing notices, reports, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve account discrepancies
