About The Position

Utility Assemblers work in multiple areas on the production floor, producing and assembling metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products. This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and a positive attitude. Assemblers in the sewing and fabric department will upholster and stuff table accessories and build small components for tables and chairs. The Utility Assembler position promotes cross-training opportunities to help employees advance their careers at Oakworks. Pay rate increases with additional training in different areas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to demonstrate mechanical ability (Read Drawings, Assemble Electrical & Mechanical Components, and Validate Quality).
Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.
Ability to sit/walk/stand for extended periods of time on a daily basis.
Ability to lift/reach/bend/stretch in manufacturing environment.
Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time on a daily basis.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

2+ years experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.
Medical product development or other regulated assembly industry experience.
Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience.
