About The Position

A Utility Aide performs a wide range of routine building maintenance duties. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive close supervision from an administrative superior. Employees in this class work a conventional work week. Work is performed in uncomfortable surroundings, occasionally encountering such conditions as dust, odors, and inclement weather. Work requires moderate physical exertion.

Requirements

  • Have one year of experience in cleaning and custodial work.
  • Some agencies may require a valid Maryland Cass C Noncommercial driver’s license, or equivalent out-of-state driver’s license, acceptable to the Office of Risk Management, may be required for some agencies.
