About The Position

ABB is seeking a production utility 19 operator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions. You will be trained in all positions under Utility 19.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Utility 19 Operator
  • Demonstrated commitment to ABB safety policies and hazard communication
  • Must properly wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut-resistant gloves, and safety sleeves
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions (gripping, turning, pushing, bending, pulling) while standing/walking for extended periods at production pace
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment (electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, control systems)
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and inventory tags
  • Ability to perform basic calculations
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Ability to work daily/weekend overtime, including short-notice shifts

Responsibilities
