About The Position

ABB is hiring a Utility 17 employee for its St. Louis Stamping Plant. The role requires the employee to perform any of several production functions—including Die Setter, Slit Line, Auto Press, Punch Press, Annealing Lead, and crane operations—without compromising their own safety or the safety of coworkers. Essential functions must be performed for at least eight hours per day, five days a week. Employees who are unable to perform essential functions should notify their supervisor, manager, or Human Resource Manager; ABB will discuss and attempt to provide any available reasonable accommodation. The employee must follow ABB safety policies, use required personal protective equipment, verify safety devices and signed press-release forms before operating equipment, and promptly report injuries, accidents, and near misses. Duties also include operating production and material-handling equipment, assisting with press-line setup and die-jam clearing, conducting inspections and quality checks, matching parts and documentation to work orders and blueprints, completing required quality documentation, and following work instructions. The role requires maintaining reliable attendance and working daily and weekend overtime, including overtime on short notice, to meet production demands. This is an onsite role reporting to the Production Supervisor. The posting identifies James Pence as the report-to contact for 2nd shift. The hourly pay range is $25.00–$31.28, with a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
