About The Position

This is a trainee level position. The incumbent learns to operate water purification plants, pumping stations, wastewater collection and treatment facilities in accordance with pertinent regulations. Functions listed are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.

Computer Related Skills: Ability to work with the internet for basic research and Microsoft Office skills.
High School Diploma or GED.
Three months related experience.
Or equivalent technical training, education or experience.
Valid Maryland Driver’s License and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

Works on assigned maintenance duties and runs tests at the plants/facilities as needed.
Handles service calls ranging from pumps to septic tank issues.
Helps troubleshoot problems and resolves them.
Interacts with customers on repairs as needed at job sites.
Position requires the employee to be on call and to work holidays on a rotating basis.
Performs other duties as required.
