About The Position

The Utilities Technician maintains, inspects, and operates utility systems, including compressed air, process water, product water, and electrical distribution. The role also maintains a clean and safe work environment in utility rooms, pump rooms, electrical areas, and water farm areas. The technician is a key contributor to plant safety, advocates for team member safety, and participates in safety investigations and improvement efforts. Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in the field or a similar manufacturing environment; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
At least 4 years of experience in the position; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
At least 4 years of experience managing people or projects; experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
High school diploma.

Responsibilities

Maintain compressed air systems and equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks and schedules and operational data.
Maintain electrical distribution and equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks and schedules and operational data.
Maintain process water and equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks and schedules and operational data.
Maintain product water and equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks and schedules and operational data.
Maintain filtration systems and change filters as required by equipment specifications.
Perform CIP procedures on storage silos, filtering equipment, and supply lines.
Maintain pumps and piping that supply water to production lines and support equipment.
Maintain and calibrate ozone production and monitoring equipment where applicable to the plant.
Maintain and calibrate mineral injection systems where applicable to the plant.
Maintain and operate process water and chemical injection systems and chemical transfer equipment.
Assist with filler sanitizations.
Maintain and operate reverse osmosis equipment, including membrane CIP procedures, monitoring instruments, and review of operational data and reports.
Maintain air compressors and air dryers.
Maintain cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers, and pumps.
Help ensure overall plant safety, advocate for team member safety, and participate in safety investigations and improvement efforts.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in utility rooms, pump rooms, electrical areas, and water farm areas.
