The City of El Mirage is seeking an experienced Utilities Project Lead to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of utility projects. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, monitor project schedules and budgets, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. This role requires strong project management skills, technical knowledge of utility systems, and the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards. This is the third level in a four-level Maintenance and Operations—Utilities classification series. Positions at this level serve as leads in the operation and maintenance of the City’s water, wastewater, or meter systems, and related infrastructure, and/or are responsible for overseeing and coordinating technical utility projects and programs. Employees in the classification perform advanced technical duties, provide guidance to field staff, support project planning and implementation, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
