Requirements

  • Able to follow clear instructions.

  • Skilled in applying mathematical reasoning to the measurements of ingredients for production purposes.
  • Basic technology skills to record data into a computer or electronic tablet.

  • Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of time.

  • Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
  • Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold) in a manufacturing product environment.
  • Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment.
  • Comply with OSHA Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sources.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards.
  • Adhere to FDA HACCP guidelines.
  • Adhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturers.
  • Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

  • Experience with fall protection, trackmobile, and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

  • Dump identified re-melt into defined tank chute for reprocessing.
  • Dump butter blocks into chute, ensuring no foreign material enters with the product.
  • Break down cardboard boxes, stack them, and take them to the compactor for recycling.
  • Ensure railcars and sugar trucks are unloaded safely and in a timely manner based on levels.
  • Follow safety guidelines required for fall protection, trackmobile, and forklift operation.
  • Safely move railcars and prepare them for rail company arrival.
  • Provide additional coverage in different departments within the plant as needed.
  • Report any defective materials, missing, or damaged tools to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure critical control point compliance by documenting FDA HACCP results, magnet cleaning, downtime, and waste generation; report any non-conformities.
  • Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources are needed.
  • Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout the production cycle.
  • Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime, such as maintaining clean work areas.
