Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for maintaining mechanical, piping, and structural systems and components at the Bob Derrington Water Reclamation Plant, Water Treatment Plant, and associated off-site facilities. The position requires the ability to work independently, with other personnel, or under supervision to maintain assigned responsibilities. Essential duties include troubleshooting and repairing plant and off-site facility process equipment, cleaning basins, entering and inspecting various basins and reservoirs (some overhead), completing work orders, maintaining tools, responding to emergencies, working with dangerous chemicals like chlorine, collaborating with the supervisor on project completion, training new employees, reporting equipment conditions, maintaining attendance, and possessing a cell phone for city use. The role also involves inventory management, ordering replacement equipment, reporting issues with equipment or tools, and demonstrating courteous behavior towards the public and staff.
