The team leader will oversee the planning and scheduling of all resources required to deliver the service. This will include materials, labor and the input of specialist contractors when delivering a service to ensure that daily work orders are completed in a timely manner. They will ensure that work is carried out safely and complies with risk assessments, and appropriate work permits. Additionally, they will provide technical and engineering expertise across all functions of electrical, and mechanical systems leading and guiding teams to carry out operation and maintenance within the facility. They will also act as the Approved/Authorised Person to carry out Risk Assessment and sign Work Permits. They will ensure all personnel are briefed by the department and activities relating to work safety and ensure all stakeholders understand the messages to ensure safety standards and procedures are implemented.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Technical and engineering expertise in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in leading and guiding teams.
  • Ability to perform Risk Assessments and sign Work Permits.
  • Understanding of safety standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the operation of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to support with documentation of tasks performed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IFM services.
  • Experience in managing specialist consultants, contractors, and in-house staff.
  • Experience in construction services projects and operational maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support the department’s Maintenance activities, providing specialist engineering knowledge and advice associated with the full range of IFM services.
  • Carry out Authorized Person (AP) functions for the appropriate systems
  • Along with the supervisor, support and take responsibility for the work of contractors, their safety and the services provided.
  • Control and manage the work of specialist consultants, contractors and in-house staff on construction services projects and specialist operational maintenance issues.
  • Lead the work group
  • Be responsible for planned and reactive tasks in accordance with Service Level Specification requirements
  • Provide technical analysis and feedback on maintenance feedback from both in-house group and contractors.
  • Maintain good relations with all: client, and visitors and respond to any complaints/situation promptly. Any issues must be reported to your supervisor immediately.
  • Be familiar with and understand the full operation of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Support with the documentation of tasks carried out in the maintenances.
