About The Position
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Utilities Engineer – Water/Wastewater to join their Water Team in Georgetown, TX. This role offers hands-on experience supporting the planning, design, and improvement of vital water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The engineer will work alongside industry experts to build technical skills, contribute to meaningful work, and grow their career while helping deliver reliable and sustainable water systems for communities across the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, such as treatment facilities, pipelines, pumping systems, and stormwater solutions
- Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
- Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for sustainable water and wastewater systems
- Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of water and wastewater infrastructure systems
