This role supports the County’s Asset Management Program by collecting, analyzing, and maintaining critical data that guides public infrastructure management and improvement. The position involves field inspections and GIS analysis to ensure accurate information drives planning and operations. Responsibilities include maintaining asset data within GIS and Cityworks systems, supporting inventory, condition assessments, performance tracking, and reporting. The technician will work with the Department Asset Manager to coordinate inspections, analyze trends, and develop tools to improve asset utilization and reduce costs. This role combines fieldwork and technology, requiring data collection with survey-grade GPS equipment, GIS mapping and analysis, and asset information verification. It also involves assisting with process improvements, asset planning, developing SOPs and workflows, and emergency operations activities.
