About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Goetzville, MI. This is a full-time position requiring the contractor to provide their own vehicle and work 6 days a week, Monday through Saturdays, including some federal holidays. The estimated daily work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, covering approximately 80 miles per day on a 40-mile delivery route. The contractor will be responsible for sorting mail and packages, loading the delivery vehicle, and delivering mail and packages to customer boxes. This role requires the ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 70 pounds.

Requirements

Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to lift 70 pounds
Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Goetzville, MI
Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance

Nice To Haves

Former USPS employees/contractors (Highly Recommended)
Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans with 120 cubic feet of cargo space without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery (It will be hard to do the route if you do not meet this recommendation but still possible)

Responsibilities

Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
Other administrative duties are required
