About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Lake Toxaway, NC. This is a full-time position, working 6 days a week, Monday through Saturdays, including some federal holidays. The estimated daily work time is 5 hours or less, from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. The contractor will provide their own vehicle and drive approximately 30 miles per day on a 15-mile delivery route. This role is compensated at $140 per day as a 1099 contractor, with monthly payments.

Requirements

• Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Lake Toxaway, NC
• Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
• Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
• Other administrative duties as required
