Multiple USPS Delivery Contractors - Tonopah, AZ
About The Position
AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Tonopah, AZ. This is a full-time position requiring 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, except federal holidays. The role involves sorting mail and packages, loading them into a delivery vehicle, and delivering them to customer boxes along an assigned route. Some routes may require dismounting for specific deliveries. This is a 1099 contractor position, paid monthly.
Requirements
- Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
- Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Tonopah, AZ
- Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance
Nice To Haves
- Former USPS employees/contractors (Highly Recommended)
- Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery (It will be hard to do the route if you do not meet this recommendation but still possible)
- Must be available to start immediately
Responsibilities
- Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
- Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
- Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
- Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
- Other administrative duties as required
