About The Position

ZenPoint Solutions LLC is seeking a creative and highly analytical User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to support a federal law enforcement agency’s major enterprise software modernization initiative. In this role, you will own the look and feel of a modernized application, zeroing in on the underlying emotional and functional needs of users to deliver intuitive, satisfying, and deeply user-centric digital experiences. As part of a responsive, device-agnostic application team, you will craft high-fidelity wireframes, templates, and portal layouts using standard toolsets like Adobe XD. This role requires close collaboration with technical architects, product owners, and end-users to transition legacy workflows into a modern, streamlined Full Operating Capability (FOC). This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be a United States Citizen and present proof of Citizenship, if selected
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in user research, interface prototyping, wireframing, or workflow optimization.
  • Exceptional creative, technical, and problem-solving capabilities with a deep emphasis on user point-of-view translation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working closely alongside back-end developers and scrum masters within a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment.
  • Understanding of standard federal technology constraints, responsive framework deployment pipelines, and accessible interface design structures.

Responsibilities

  • Create compelling and satisfying application interface designs by applying recognized usability heuristics, prioritizing consistency, error prevention, feedback transparency, and minimalist aesthetics.
  • Develop detailed front-end user interface mockups, wireframes, site themes, and reusable layout templates within Adobe XD prior to active software development phases.
  • Utilize findings from user research and functional workflow analyses to align interface designs with defined target roles, personas, and distinct real-world usage contexts.
  • Partner directly with system and solution architects to break down business requirements into front-end mockups that are both highly functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Execute frequent, lightweight usability testing methods alongside users or operational proxies to expose design friction early, tracking and rectifying issues within a structured Usability Findings Log.
  • Validate ongoing front-end builds through continuous feedback loops with the Product Owner and system stakeholders, evaluating task success rates and experience metrics.
  • Design interface elements that conform entirely with Section 508 accessibility standards, actively reinforcing keyboard navigation capabilities, screen reader compatibility, and contrast requirements.
  • Participate in occasional team travel to meet with users in life-like training environments to gather live operational feedback and directly iterate on real-world workflow challenges.

Benefits

  • health, dental, and vision insurance
  • group and voluntary life insurance
  • short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k)-retirement plan with company matching contributions
  • flexible spending accounts
  • generous paid leave policy, including federal holidays
