About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a remote User Acceptance Tester I to join our team! This role involves defining and documenting business requirements, planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system testing, and performing end-to-end and integration testing. The tester will analyze system enhancements, identify and track defects, and validate system functionality. Additionally, the role includes documenting test results, monitoring post-production performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting user adoption through documentation, training, and demonstrations. The position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, or High School Diploma with 7+ years of experience in User Acceptance Testing and system validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for business users and advocate for user needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with defect tracking and testing tools (e.g., JIRA, HEAT, SBM)
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Experience with data analysis and system validation techniques
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, revenue cycle management, and HIPAA
  • Knowledge of Labcorp systems

Responsibilities

  • Define and document business requirements in partnership with business and IT stakeholders
  • Plan, develop, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system testing strategies
  • Perform end-to-end and integration testing to ensure solutions meet business and functional requirements
  • Analyze system enhancements to assess process impact, financial implications, and technical performance
  • Identify, track, and manage defects, including severity, frequency, and resolution
  • Validate system functionality using data analysis and testing tools
  • Document test results, summarize findings, and obtain business approval
  • Monitor post-production performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and clarify requirements
  • Proactively identify risks, recommend solutions, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Support user adoption through documentation, training, and system demonstrations
