About The Position

Trailer Equipment is seeking a Used Equipment Coordinator to evaluate, maintain, and remarket our local used equipment inventory. We’re looking for a self-reliant, organized professional who can influence customers and internal teams to help close sales. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; previous inventory management experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional extended hours as needed.
  • Must be able to travel overnight occasionally.
  • Precision, accuracy, and strong follow-through.
  • Advanced time-management skills with the ability to stay organized and adapt to fluid schedules and priorities.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with contractors, manufacturing reps, co-workers, and a sophisticated customer base.
  • Demonstrated take-charge approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly updates to the local sales team, including:
  • Current used trailer inventory
  • Costs and sold-unit status
  • Incoming trades or purchases
  • Additional available equipment
  • Maintain and update a used trailer customer list for inventory acquisition and disposal (CRM duties).
  • Partner with Marketing on monthly advertising emails and inventory updates to strengthen online sales presence.
  • Generate qualified leads for territory sales representatives or in-house sales staff.
  • Review incoming inventory within two business days to ensure compliance with trade terms and conditions.
  • Monitor market and auction prices to accurately determine equipment values based on Market Value rather than Book Value.
  • Estimate refurbishment costs and resale projections accurately.
  • Forecast market trends to strategically control inventory levels.
  • Track the location and age of all inventory.
  • Support refurbishment efforts while managing and controlling costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge across all used trailer categories, including vans, reefers, flatbeds, refrigeration units, suspensions, ABS, PSI systems, trucks, switchers, and more.
