About The Position
Hendrick Automotive Group, a large privately owned dealer group, is hiring an experienced Used Car Technician. This is a high-volume role for a skilled technician proficient with multiple makes and models. The earning potential is significant from day one, with qualified technicians earning $100,000–$110,000 in their first year. The role offers a competitive hourly rate plus a night shift premium.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician
- Multi-make/model experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills across various vehicle systems
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Availability for night shift preferred; day shift also available.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications preferred
- Equivalent dealership experience considered
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and repairs across multiple makes and models
- Conduct safety inspections and mechanical reconditioning on used vehicle inventory
- Complete repairs efficiently to manufacturer and dealership standards
- Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues
- Document all services performed accurately and maintain a clean, safe work area
- Communicate repair status and recommendations to service advisors.
