About The Position

Ontario Auto Ranch Ford is looking for a motivated Used Car Technician who wants the opportunity to stay busy, produce strong hours, and build a long-term automotive career in a fast-moving environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work and wants consistent workflow without being buried in heavy warranty repair work every day. Unlike many dealership technician positions, this role focuses heavily on used vehicle reconditioning, internal work, and customer-pay opportunities. Warranty work is limited primarily to recalls and supplemental opportunities — not the primary source of income. For the right technician, this position offers excellent earning potential and a far better work-life balance than many large metro dealership environments. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys staying productive throughout the day, works well independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, wants consistent work and less dependence on warranty times, and can move efficiently through used vehicle inspections and repairs. You will work on a wide variety of makes and models while helping prepare inventory for retail sale. Strong work ethic, consistency, and attitude matter here.

Requirements

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred
• Dealership or large independent shop experience highly valued
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic

Responsibilities

• Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning repairs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical concerns efficiently
• Complete maintenance and repair work according to dealership standards
• Perform recall repairs as needed
• Maintain organized and professional work areas
• Communicate effectively with advisors and management
• Ensure vehicles are properly prepared for retail delivery
