About The Position
Peltier Subaru is looking for a dependable and experienced Used Car Technician to join our team! This position plays an important role in making sure our pre-owned vehicles are inspected, serviced, repaired, and ready to provide our customers with a safe and reliable driving experience.
Requirements
- Previous automotive technician or mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to properly operate automotive tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections on pre-owned vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety-related concerns.
- Complete necessary repairs and maintenance to prepare vehicles for the lot.
- Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, fluid services, battery replacements, and other general automotive repairs.
- Identify additional repairs or maintenance needed during inspections.
- Work efficiently to help maintain a quick turnaround time on used vehicle inventory.
- Document inspections, repairs, and recommended work accurately.
- Communicate with management regarding vehicle condition and repair needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
- Help ensure every pre-owned vehicle meets Peltier Subaru’s standards before being offered to customers.
