About The Position
Peltier Subaru is looking for a dependable, experienced Used Car Technician to join our service team. This position is focused on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing pre-owned vehicles so they are safe, reliable, and ready for sale. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working on multiple makes and models. Subaru experience is a plus, but not required.
Requirements
- Previous automotive technician experience preferred
- Ability to diagnose and repair multiple vehicle brands
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must have own tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Subaru experience is a plus
- ASE certifications are a plus
- Subaru or dealership experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform used vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, brake, suspension, and HVAC concerns
- Complete repairs needed for used car reconditioning
- Perform maintenance services including oil changes, filters, fluids, brakes, tires, batteries, alignments, and tune-ups
- Identify needed repairs clearly and accurately
- Communicate findings to service advisors, used car managers, and dispatch
- Document all work performed on repair orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures
- Help ensure vehicles are frontline-ready in a timely manner
