About The Position

The Hertrich Family of Dealerships is hiring experienced Used Car Technicians / Reconditioning Mechanics to support their high-volume pre-owned inventory. This is an opportunity for technicians tired of slow work to find consistent hours, strong pay, and a steady workflow year-round. The dealership group is a third-generation, family-owned business with 24 Dealerships, 15 Collision Centers, and 18 Automotive Brands, proudly supporting over 90 local charities and offering long-term career stability in a team-focused environment.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years automotive technician experience (used car/recon preferred)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a production-based environment
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
• High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning repairs
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete safety inspections and ensure vehicles are front-line ready
• Perform brakes, tires, suspension, and general maintenance repairs
• Work closely with service advisors and parts departments
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized workspace
