Requirements

Previous automotive technician experience
Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced reconditioning environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to complete repairs accurately and meet production expectations
Must provide or maintain the tools required for the position
Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
Clean and valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform used-vehicle inspections and repairs efficiently and according to dealership standards
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air-conditioning, engine, and transmission concerns
Complete used-car reconditioning work accurately and within established turnaround-time expectations
Perform road tests and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Identify additional repairs needed to make vehicles safe and ready for retail sale
Provide accurate parts and labor estimates for recommended repairs
Communicate repair needs and completion status to the Used Car Service Advisor or management team
Complete repair orders with clear and accurate technician documentation
Perform recalls, software updates, and applicable certification inspections
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
