About The Position

Honda of Sarasota, part of the Morgan Automotive Group, is seeking a Used Car Leader to join their growing family. As the largest family-owned automotive group in Florida with 75 dealerships, they are looking for an exceptional individual to manage their used car operations. This role involves leading and developing a sales team, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing inventory, and driving customer satisfaction and profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing a sales team.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting vehicle sales.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for sales activities and lead follow-up.
  • Understanding of inventory management based on day supply and turn benchmarks.
  • Ability to foster teamwork in a customer-facing environment.
  • Skills in conducting sales meetings and providing training.
  • Familiarity with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage deal flow and customer receivables.
  • Capability to handle customer concerns effectively.
  • Knowledge of current manufacturer incentives and programs.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed performance targets.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and motivate salespeople.
  • Ensure sales staff is up to date on training and compliance.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect vehicle sales.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing.
  • Assist individual salespeople in setting and achieving aggressive yet realistic monthly goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate information in the CRM that reflects all sales activities.
  • Ensure proper follow-up of all leads by developing, implementing, and monitoring a prospecting and sales control system via the CRM.
  • Manage inventory based on day supply and turn benchmarks.
  • Maintain teamwork in a customer-faced sales environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process.
  • Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings.
  • Ensure salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures.
  • Provide proper product training resources for salespeople on a regular and continuous basis.
  • Oversee the efforts of salespeople to enhance customer satisfaction ratings and loyalty.
  • Manage deal flow and customer receivables.
  • Assist promptly with customer concerns.
  • Understand all current manufacturer incentives and programs.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted performance targets consistently.
