About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Usability Engineer II to join our team! This role involves conducting usability testing and collaborating closely with product designers and process engineers in the development of applications. The Usability Engineer II will also design and develop user surveys to gather feedback and apply task experience across all phases of the usability and software engineering cycle (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment). A key aspect of this role is working closely with users (analysts) to research and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and user scenarios, ultimately creating user interface designs from provided specifications.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years in this or related field
• Familiarity with task analyses, user interface design, and usability testing
• Five (5) years user-centered design and testing experience
• Experience working closely with users (analysts) to research and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and user scenarios
• Bachelor’s degree in cognitive and/or experimental psychology, human factors engineering, or an engineering related field (e.g. systems engineering, software engineering, business process engineering)

Responsibilities

• Conduct usability testing
• Work closely with product designers and process engineers developing applications
• Design and develop user surveys to obtain user feedback
• Use task experience in each of the usability and software engineering cycle phases (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment) to work closely with users (analysts) to research and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, and user scenarios
• Create user interface design from specifications provided
